Why Gutsi exists
Matt built Gutsi after his own gut health scare, an IBD diagnosis that came after years of unexplained symptoms, not long after selling his last company. It wasn’t an isolated story. His wife lives with Crohn’s disease, and he lost his mother to bowel cancer.
Watching his family navigate digestive health up close, again and again, left him with one question: why do we track everything about our bodies except the one system that affects almost all of them? Gutsi is his answer, a gut wellness monitor built so people can start paying attention to their own gut, and explore their own patterns over time.
What is Gutsi?
A gut wellness monitor, hiding in plain sight
Gutsi clips discreetly onto the inside of your toilet bowl and uses on-device sensing to passively track patterns like stool consistency, timing, and hydration cues. There’s nothing to remember, log, or collect. It works quietly in the background of the routine you already have. Those patterns are turned into simple, private insights in the Gutsi app, so you can start to understand what’s normal for you, over time.
